Maren Sauer

Maren was born in Germany and grew up at the lake of Zurich. She discovered ballet early and grew fond of contemporary dance as a teenager. Maren trained as a goldsmith and certified as Bijoutière Joaillière CFC (Goldsmith) at DYB (Swatch Group) before dedicating herself fully to dance. After having completed her dance studies at Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) with a Bachelor in Contemporary Dance, Maren joined as an intern this past season the Theater Münster dance ensemble, Germany, under the direction of Lillian Stillwell - where she enjoyed working with remarkable artists, such as Nadav Zellner, Joost Vrouenraets, and Dunja Jocic, to name a few. 

Currently, Maren teaches her empowering Tone & Stretch classes and works as a freelance artist. Training to become a professional dancer has led Maren to discover the great benefits of Pilates and yoga for increasing flexibility, strength, and healthy and mindful overall fitness; such physical and mental strength allows her to perform at her best.

Besides doing art on and off stage, Maren loves meeting her friends for a cappuccino and a tasty cheesecake in bustling downtown Zurich.
